OCC’s Annual Business Retention Survey

Learning what issues are of concern to the business community is our primary responsibility.  To accomplish this, we conduct an annual survey of more than 2,500 companies doing business in Oakland, querying them about concerns and plans, and identifying the specific problems being experienced by individual businesses.  Their response is the foundation of our work.

The survey identifies not only areas of concern, but industry and employment trends as well.  Spanning across most all business sectors, survey data provides us with a snapshot of Oakland’s business climate.
